Berkeley Works

I went to the Berkeley Marina to watch their free fireworks show. I sat down right along the water's edge and waited for the show. You could see fireworks going off all around the Bay... San Francisco, Oakland, Marin and lots more places that I am unable to name. We had awesome seats and a great time! My camera does not take good pictures in the dark, but I managed to snap a few that I think are neat...

Heading out of the Marina was quite interesting. There was a very large amount of people walking in a line to get over the bridge. I could not believe how many people actually had come to the event! There was a bunch of Hare Krishna's chanting and beating drums for the walk back and I have to admit it was the perfect thing to hear for that walk. It felt like it was keeping the crowd moving... plus there was a nice beat to walk to. I found the whole evening to be surreal! It was great...

These are great pictures! I love seeing fireworks over the water, with the reflections. It looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I did have a great time! I have never been that close to fireworks on the water like that. I loved it! But, next time, I need to be a bit more bundled up. Once it got dark, it was soooo cold!

These photos are REALLY good. You should frame a few and sell them on etsy. There is something almost haunting about the way the explosions are framed over the water, I can't put my finger on it.

Thank you Rubypearl! I have been thinking of adding photography to my shop. I need to seek out some good printing shops first! I'm not even sure where to begin!
