Haiku.

I put together some haikus with my photography for an Asian Religion class. Here are a few:

The idea is to have written haikus that embody Zen Buddhism. Nature is a primary topic in such haikus. The words are supposed to carry heavy imagery with an awakening spirit within it's short verses.

Easter in the Park

On Sunday I spent part of the day venturing over to the Botanical Gardens in Tilden Park. I am so lucky to be living only 3 miles away from such loveliness! If only I had a car so I could get there more often!

When I think of botanical gardens, my mind immediately goes to Ringwood, NJ. I love the park there, and it's very different than the one in Tilden Park. But Tilden has a wonderful charm and is quite magical! I thought I would share a few of the pictures I took while I was there. The garden is still a bit bare from the winter. I look forward to seeing it again in a month or two!

The Rose Garden at Dusk

One of the best places to be in Berkeley when the sun is setting! Even though there were no roses, the garden is quite green and lovely. I'm posting two of my favorite pictures I took while I was up there.
