Berkeley Works
I went to the Berkeley Marina to watch their free fireworks show. I sat down right along the water's edge and waited for the show. You could see fireworks going off all around the Bay... San Francisco, Oakland, Marin and lots more places that I am unable to name. We had awesome seats and a great time! My camera does not take good pictures in the dark, but I managed to snap a few that I think are neat...

Heading out of the Marina was quite interesting. There was a very large amount of people walking in a line to get over the bridge. I could not believe how many people actually had come to the event! There was a bunch of Hare Krishna's chanting and beating drums for the walk back and I have to admit it was the perfect thing to hear for that walk. It felt like it was keeping the crowd moving... plus there was a nice beat to walk to. I found the whole evening to be surreal! It was great...

Easter in the Park
On Sunday I spent part of the day venturing over to the Botanical Gardens in Tilden Park. I am so lucky to be living only 3 miles away from such loveliness! If only I had a car so I could get there more often!
When I think of botanical gardens, my mind immediately goes to Ringwood, NJ. I love the park there, and it's very different than the one in Tilden Park. But Tilden has a wonderful charm and is quite magical! I thought I would share a few of the pictures I took while I was there. The garden is still a bit bare from the winter. I look forward to seeing it again in a month or two!

Out and about
A few doors down from my apartment is this really awesome toy store called Mr. Mopp's. It's the type of store where all the toys come alive at night... I just know it! This is a picture from one of their windows. This lion has seen better days! You can see how the tree reflected is starting to get it's leaves back. Even though my street is very busy, it's tree lined and I love it.
