Wood cuts.

Here are two new reduction wood cuts, inspired partially by Alex Grey. The reduction wood cut technique is challenging, yet oh so rewarding. Once a layer is printed, the next is carved out of the wood completely eliminating the previous work. The colors didn't come out exactly as I had hoped, but I still like the finished product. The second print was an experiment.

I have these in a variety of color combos and can't wait to get them all photographed. So far this is the best photo. I have this new canvas paper that I am officially in love with. It holds up to my process and feels nice and thick. I only have a few sheets left... I just might need to stop off at the art store this weekend!!
